 Notes:

*       You are charged for 49 weeks a year.  The Nursery is closed between Christmas and New Year, all Bank Holidays and for the last complete week in July (for larger maintenance and redecoration work).  So you are not charged for the two weeks we are closed or for Bank Holidays

*       Fees are billed on a monthly basis so your costs are spread evenly across the year.  The monthly amounts are calculated by multiplying the weekly amount by 49 and dividing by 12.  For example, if your child is 18 months old and attending nursery for 2 full days and 1 morning a week the monthly cost would be £563.50 (£54 x 2 + £30 x 49 / 12)

*       Children of teaching/school staff:  If you are a teacher or work in a school you may if you wish take your child out of nursery for the whole of August and not pay fees for that month;  this facility applies to the Summer holidays only.  To come to this arrangement with the Nursery, we will need your written confirmation by 30th June each year.

*       Nursery fees are payable in full on or before the first day of each month.

*       One full month’s notice or payment of a full month’s fees is required when withdrawing a child from the Nursery.

*       The price for a full time place is per calendar month and includes a discount.

*       A 10% reduction will be given for a second child in full time placement at the Nursery (whilst an older brother or sister is full time at the Nursery).

*      This fee schedule is effective from 1 September 2011 to 31 August 2012 and will be reviewed in July 2012.

Heirs & Graces Day Nursery, Tring

Government Free Places for 3+

Your child is entitled to 15 hours free educational childcare per week from the term after their 3rd birthday.  If you live in Hertfordshire, you do not have to re-apply on line for your place at Heirs & Graces if your child is already here.  The free hours can be taken at 1 or 2 providers and spread across the week as follows.  If your child does:

*      1 full day you are entitled to 10 hours

*      2 full days you are entitled to 12.5 hours

*      3 full days you are entitled to 15 hours

*      4-5 full days you are entitled to 15 hours

*      1 half day you are entitled to 5 hours

*      2 half days you are entitled to 10 hours

*      3 half days you are entitled to 15 hours

*      4-5 half days you are entitled to 15 hours

If your child attends more than one setting, you can take your entitlement at both settings, provided it does not exceed 15 hours per week, per term.  As the free places are provided on a term time basis (38 weeks per year) and we are open for 49 weeks per year, your child’s entitlement can be spread across the additional weeks.  You will need to re-apply for your free places at the start of each period (1 Sept-31 Dec, 1 Jan-31 Mar, 1 Apr-31 Aug).  The free hour entitlement for the summer term will be spread over the weeks from 1 April until the last Friday that the nursery is open in July.  There is no free hour provision for August, and you will be charged for the actual days/sessions that your child attends.

Further information about the Hertfordshire County Council’s Flexible Entitlement can be found at www.hertsdirect.org/infobase/docs/pdfstore/faqflex.pdf

To be fully flexible we need to be able to charge per hour and to make a separate charge for the cost of food.  You do not have to enrol for additional hours to be able to claim your free funded hours, but we will charge you for any additional hours beyond your child’s free entitlement that you wish to continue with at Heirs & Graces.  We have broken down our current fees as follows;  this does not represent an increase over our day/am/pm rates.

Cost per hour

£4.49

Breakfast

£0.50

Snack (morning)

£0.50

Lunch

£3.40

Snack (afternoon)

You will still be billed monthly, and I will give you a breakdown at the start of each period (term) to show how your fees have been calculated.
